Total Motion Physical Therapy
The Low Back Pain Workshop is for people suffering with low back pain who are looking to feel normal again and heal naturally without medications, injections and surgery.
"When I came to the free lower back work-shop that Chip was offering I was feeling pretty bad! I have had lower back pain for many, many years but it had gotten to the point where I needed help and fast. I was also experiencing bad pain in my right hip and leg. I was unable to push around a vacuum without paying the repercussions! I was also finding it challenging to properly clean the bottom of my feet in the shower! Standing in one position for more than a minute immediately caused pain in my lumbar area. I do have a herniated disc for years that I thought could not be fixed without surgery. When I attended the workshop I was extremely skeptical…fix ourselves? Use the opposite side of our body with movements? How was this going to fix me??? No hands on PT??? What??? Well, let me tell you that my skepticism was blown out of the water from my first treatment. I immediately started to improve and was amazed that I went from a high 90 on the “how terrible is this” to a 10 of hardly noticeable by the time I left my therapy session. Chip is awesome in his knowledge of how the body works. This is a completely different type of physical therapy…totally non-traditional. I have completed my time there and am fully equipped to “fix myself” having learned the tools for life. As with anything else, I need to keep it up and use it to maintain what I have worked hard to achieve. That’s the difference with Totalmotion’s physical therapy. You are in control of your body…"
"I had major scoliosis surgery as a teenager which left me with rods in my back and a bone fusion from my right hip. After two car accidents in college, I have been in chiropractic care and seen many, many, physical therapist over the last 25 years. Each physical therapist gave me the exact same exercises to do which only provided a little relief for a short time. I have become very skeptical of all physical therapist. I was still skeptical when I came in to the back and workshop and then decided to have a 20-minute session with Chip to give it a try. However, there was something different about the Total Motion theory that had me curious enough to return and I am so grateful I did. With all the years of chiropractic and physical therapy care - it was a complete paradigm shift to do things the Total Motion way. It took quite some time to re-learn the new process and I still have to stop and think sometimes but I'm glad I did. I have learned how to help my body realign and take the pressure off the area in the most pain. Before I was not able to stand more than 15 minutes without severe pain in my lower back and now I can stand for much longer periods of time. I was not able to walk more 15 minutes without pain in the back and hips but with the stretching and exercises I've learned - now I can!! I am not 100% yet but Chip and Jason have taught me tools I can use to get myself out a painful crisis. Chip and Jason were a blessing to work with. I have never had some much fun and laughter while working through the pain. They have changed my skepticism about physical therapy. This was the best results I've had in all the years of PT. Thanks guys!!! Debra M. "Enjoy The Journey"
"My excitement and anticipation for relief from lower back (and knees) issues that have plagued me for years soared after attending this lower back and sciatica pain workshop at Total Motion Physical Therapy. Who knew that there is more than one way to do Physical Therapy and still obtain relief and comfort? It is interesting that after having therapy throughout the years, you discover that opposites attract. The therapists, Chip, Cami and Evan are well equipped to explain and demonstrate how different body parts connect and in turn can bring a level of comfort and healing. Left sided exercises positively affect right sided problems and vice versa. Once you get the hang of things, you learn which exercises help the most. This is such a great environment, full of nothing but encouragement and support. I am thankful for the really great experience!!! And I plan on referring many to them. Phyllis T. Hilliiard"
